Transparent Pie

1/2 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, separated


Cream butter and sugar. Add a little milk and then the flour. Add egg yolks and beat in with the rest of the milk. Add vanilla and stiffly beaten egg whites.

Pour into 2-8" pie shells. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
