I used to bake/decorate cakes as a sideline - and my most popular cake was the so-called "Dream Cake". It was made with a standard white cake mix (Duncan Hines, preferably), to which you added the appropriate amount of water and oil (shown on the box), FOUR eggs, and a packet of Dream Whip (a whipped cream substitute, sold as a dry powder in packets - for those of our friends not in the US), and beat like crazy for about four minutes. It makes a delicious, light, moist, fluffy cake. It does tend to rise higher than standard cake mix so be sure to use a deep (2") pan. You can, of course, use any flavor cake mix!
