Print this entryHi everyone….I registered here awhile ago and then got sidetracked. LOL! You know how life is. But, I found you all again and would like to start participate. Got a new kitchen toy a couple of weeks ago and am very excited about it. I love all things kitchen, cooking, eating, appliances, cookbooks and etc. Anyway, QVC had an awesome deal on a Ninja 3-1 Cooking System. It’s a slowcooker/steam baker/stove top cooker all in one appliance. So versatile and I have been having so much fun learning how to use it. Last weekend I steam roasted a chicken in it after I browned it right in the cooker first. So nice to brown the meat and then put it on the rack that’s included and add a bit of broth to the pan under neath. The meat was tender and juicy and cooked pretty quickly. The next day I did baby back ribs the same way. Again, delicious. Yesterday I browned a chuck roast in it and then added stock and switched it to slow cook. Such a tender roast that I will use for beef and noodles. I could have then used it to cook the noodles in the pan just by switching the setting to the stove top setting. But, I wanted to chill the stock and remove the fat before I used it. Can’t wait to make all sorts of things in it. It came with a great cookbook loaded with recipes for each feature. Also as a nice little cake pan and a loaf pan as well to steam bake in it. That is supposed to make very moist cakes and you can user half the fat when you make the recipe. Oops, sorry for going on and on, just so excited with my new toy.

Print this entryHi everyone, I am a good friend of Becky’s and she told me about Mimi’s and the wonderful group of people that post here. Loving food, cooking and recipe talk as I do, I just knew I had to check it out. So, here I am. I will be back to check it out better and hope to contribute as well. Already it looks like a great place with lots of great conversations and recipes. Am very intrigued by the cyber cookbook and hope to add to it. Hoping to get to know all of you. And Becky, thanks for suggesting Mimi’s to me.
