How is everyone?  We’ve had lots of rain and high winds but thus far all is ok here.  Concerned about all of you though…

Do you have any special go-to recipes that you keep on hand lest company pops in?  MIL keeps this one, and it's good! My friend wants to make her first ever pumpkin pie from a pie pumpkin. When I tried this many years ago, it wasn’t very successful so I never tried it again.  She has made many pumpkin pies but not from scratch from a pumpkin.  Anyone have any good advice for her?  Really hoping it is a succesful endeavor for her. Thanks for your input

If I were to pick up either a bushel or half bushel of big white sweet onions today, what should I be doing with them to preserve them?  That is something I’ve never done before but they sure do look nice! Thanks for any advice!

We had a version of this at a workshop luncheon a number of years ago and it fabulous!  I've never found the recipe that sounds like the right thing.  It was very creamy with what appeared to be dumplings (?) made from pretzels???  They said I could have the recipe if I gave them an envelope with my address on it.  I did, with a stamp, and have never received the recipe....  Does this sound familiar Read more [...]

Did we ever come up with a tried and true recipe last year?  I tried a couple and was not happy with the results of them.  Olive Garden's is Mom's very favorite, and I've not been able to duplicate it...not even close.  There are so many recipes that I have no clue which one to try this year.  If anyone has one you love, it would be so greatly appreciated.
