Betty Crocker super moist chocolate cake mix butter recipe question

Author: My Safeway seems to be out of this cake mix. Can i use one that calls for oil but add the butter instead like with this cake mix?

Tura, I don’t know if you could substitute butter for the oil. Maybe if you melt the butter? Have you tried contacting the company to see what they recommend?
