What is a Veteran

Author: A veteran whether active duty, discharged, retired or reserve is someone who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check to “The United States of America” for an amount of up to and including his or her life. That is Honor. There are to many people in this country today, who no longer understand this fact. Happy Veterans day to all our vets.

You understand deployments then. I remember one year where I was only home for 81 days. Been retired from the NAV for 20 yrs now.
Wow…only 81 days. That’s a long, long time to be gone. Thank you for your service, it is appreciated! DH and #3 son also retired with 20 years. #2 DIL is a LtCmdr and will retire with 26 (I think) in Feb.
