Primanti Brothers Sandwiches

Author: It has been so many years since we were in Pittsburgh for one of these. YUM! Cousin made homemade ones to watch the game tonight and posted a picture of it. How cruel is that! So we live about three hours apart and they won’t deliver..ugh! Imagine that! Any other fans of these or have you made your own? My memory is pretty foggy since it’s been so long. Here’s what the cousins put on theirs, which is pretty much what I recall. Mixture of hamburger and sausage, homemade coleslaw, homemade red potato fries (I didn’t think they were red potatoes?), onion, tomato and fresh Italian bread. I can tell you that the picture posted was very tantelizing!

It ‘s a Pittsburgh thing, and what the cousins made is pretty much the recipe or close to it. A visit to Primanti Bros is a must when in the burg! Of course, anything you make can’t compare to the atmosphere, etc. when there…MUST make that trip again one day
