How is everyone?  We’ve had lots of rain and high winds but thus far all is ok here.  Concerned about all of you though…

Do you have any special go-to recipes that you keep on hand lest company pops in?  MIL keeps this one, and it's good! I watch her nearly every day and today she made a hamburger “a la prinanti style” piled high with slaw and pickles etc.  Oh my good golly miss molly I wish I could reach through the screen yummo ! The recipe is on her site.

My friend wants to make her first ever pumpkin pie from a pie pumpkin. When I tried this many years ago, it wasn’t very successful so I never tried it again.  She has made many pumpkin pies but not from scratch from a pumpkin.  Anyone have any good advice for her?  Really hoping it is a succesful endeavor for her. Thanks for your input

If I were to pick up either a bushel or half bushel of big white sweet onions today, what should I be doing with them to preserve them?  That is something I’ve never done before but they sure do look nice! Thanks for any advice!

Mom’s on a downward curve, son had work related injury and now my sweet little angel Eva (my son’s 3 year old daughter) has just been diagnosed with diabetes. Woof!!  Thank goodness for this site.  We don’t know if she needs insulin or if it can be diet controlled.  We only got the diagnosis 20 minutes ago.
