So what are you all cooking with all of the fall fruits and vegetables available now?  I'm dying to be in the kitchen but have too many other responsibilites right now.  I did cut up a pile of green peppers for the freezer plus stuffed some for in the freezer.  We will probably buy another basket to stuff and freeze since I only got about 11 so far. postheadericon Cooking Steaks???

I saw part of a post on Pinterest about cooking steaks not on the grill.  It was really interesting but incomplete as the site wouldn't come up correctly.  It stated to preheat your oven to 500 degrees, cook the steaks in a castiron skillet, and to use fresh steaks from the butcher.  That's it.  Has anyone tried this?  Folks were raving about them cooked this way saying no more steaks on the grill Read more [...]

Has anyone had success freezing butter?   I got some on sale and would like to prolong the life – can it be frozen and then used in baking?

My dad use to make a mexician dish “wetback stew” it had thin slices of meat, jalapeanoes, onions stewed tomatoesand don’t know what else,  you ate it with tortillos it was wonderful but don’t have the recipe needing some help

I can make pretty good low carb/fat dips and they go great with celery or cucumber slices or green pepper slices but I also love to make salsa and salsa on a cucumber just doesn’t seem to attract me… are there ANY low carb chips that I could use with salsa or pico de gallo? Is there ANY hope?
