Becky, I just might find out how it works with a pumpkin-type bread. I purchased a round pumpkin cinnamon swirl loaf at King's Restaurant the other night that is dry. Not sure if it was old or what...day old usually works well for French Toast, and we have a quart of fresh maple syrup that was gifted to us. Sounds like a plan!

Sounds good. I appreciate the pumpkin pie spice mix - that will be handy.

I've made french toast with banana bread; wonder how it would be with pumpkin bread?
