Has anyone successfully edited their posts – either their original posts or replies? I can’t figure out how to work this.

I haven’t tried it. I wanted to edit a reply but am not sure we can.

I did check and when I had the mouse over the post, it gave the option to edit or to quick edit.  I didn’t try either but maybe I will just to see how this works.

  • Becky:

Okay, I edited the butter post – the original one, can’t find a way to edit replies.

I clicked edit and made the change.  I couldn’t figure out how to get it to post and kept clicking on different things, then just clicked back onto the recipe board and it had been changed.

A wee bit confusing!  I don’t think we can edit replies.

  • Becky:

Okay, I had to hit autosave on the right side of the screen to get the edit feature to work.
Still haven’t figured out how to edit a reply.

  • Becky:

I was able to edit a reply on a post I started but can’t edit on a post I didn’t start, such as this one.

  • Meryl:

Thanks, Becky! I now see “edit” next to the date of the replies. For an original post, though, I have to first click “Edit your Messages,” then put the cursor over the title to see “Edit.”

  • Becky:

Meryl, do you see the edit feature on replies to posts you didn’t start?  I don’t see that unless it is one I started.

  • Meryl:

Hmm, I just checked, and no, I don’t see “Edit” on replies to posts I didn’t start. Very strange.

  • Becky:

Glad it isn’t just me!  I started thinking I was missing something.  I guess the edit feature is limited.
