Do You Change Your Placemats, etc. for the Season?

Do you change your placemats, tablecloth, etc. for the season? Towels?
or do you have year-round every day stuff and use seasonal only for special occasions?
Do you have seasonal dishes (eating or serving) you like to use?

I love decorating for fall! Tableclothes, fall flower arrangements, planting fall mums, etc. I don’t usually change towels only for special occasions. As for the dishes, I have a set of Christmas dishes and a set of the Jewel Tea Bittersweet antique ones for fall, which are only used at special times…mostly in the fall due to the colors matching fall colors. We do have seasonal serving dishes. That being said, I like our comfortable everyday things probably best. Sometimes I’m just too tired to be fancy!
Becky, I’m a placemat nut! I love, love, love them. So, yes, I do change for the season. As for dishes, all of mine are plain white Corell. Even the serving bowls and platters. Food looks good on a white plate. At one time I had 4 sets of dishes, and the Christmas set was a service for 16. Don’t have anyone for that holiday coming anymore, so DD has them now.
Not really, but I do have Thanksgiving ones and Christmas ones I use.
I used to sew a lot and I made some cute Santa place mates with napkins. The other day i saw some in catalog and thought to myself I could make those if I wanted to. But I won’t as I really don’t need them. They were really cute . Three different shades of brown, some gold, black and white. Would of been easy if I was so inclined.
Nalani, being able to sew your own would definitely be a good way to save money. Placemats are expensive!

Sherri, I like to change things with the season but you are right sometimes every day easy is best.
I had some placemats for fall but haven’t been able to locate them since a couple of moves ago. I don’t know if they didn’t make the move or what happened to them.
Yes… love to change place mats for seasons… and for special occasions. I have many in all colors and different prints. Have tablecloths the same. Actully buy solid colors and imprint them with designs to celebrate special holidays.
Schmitty, how do you imprint designs? That sounds like a great idea.
The place mats I saw in the catalog were of a turkey. I did save the page in the catalog incase I ever get inspired.
