DW is sometimes strange
Grandaughter wanted something to eat, so we made some crepes together. She kept asking DW if she wanted some. She said no, she didn’t like crepes. I make crepe batter the same way I make pancake batter. The only diffrence is that I add more milk and an extra egg. DW loves my pancakes, but doesnt like my crepes? I don’t get it. What’s the diffrence????? I love my wife……
Maybe it’s a texture thing? Maybe the milk and egg change the flavor just a wee bit too.
Texture, maybe. Fravor, I doubt it. She can’t tell the diffrence in taste between red and brown onions. I can and prefer the red.Texture, that makes scense. Thanks.
I’m very sensitive to food textures so that was my immediate thought.
I’m surprised she can’t tll the difference in the onion flavors!
She’s diebetic. She’s lost some taste, and most of her colors. The only reason she’s not blind is laser surgery. She was blind for a few days before the doc worked on her.
The other day we tried some Jamaican coffee that was so good. She could’t tell the diffrence between it and regular coffee.
Oh, it would be hard to lose taste and colors. Laser surgery is amazing and I’m so glad they were able to save her eyesight.
Pepe. I too am glad that your DH’s vision was saved. PTL! It would be hard losing any of our senses. We visited some folks the other night and took them a big bouquet of fresh basil, which smells wonderful. The lady of the house has no sense of smell and couldn’t smell it at all. We really felt bad that she’s missing so much in this beautiful world of aromas and fragrances… Sure hope your DH doesn’t lose all sense of taste like our friend. Love your posts!
I know what you mean. Got a cousin that’s blind, man that is rough. My hearing is going from to much time around jets while I was in service. The other day I tried on some hearing aids. I couldn’t believe the diffrence. Our next major purchase is going to be those hearing aids. I heard things I hadn’t in years. Soon, very soon.
Oh Pepe, I hope and pray you can get those hearing aids very, very soon! What a blessing they will be to you. If you were in the service, will the VA help you obtain them? They did my Dad. We had to turn them back in when he passed away. They made such a big difference in his life.
