The 2.99 Special
We went to breakfast at a restaurant where the 'seniors' special' was two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $2.99. 'Sounds good,' my wife said. 'But I don't want the eggs.' 'Then, I'll have to charge you $3.49 because you're ordering a la carte,' the waitress warned her. 'You mean I'd have to pay for not taking the eggs?' my wife asked incredulously. Reunion Food
DH's family reunion is next Saturday. Anyone have any favorite reunion recipes you'd care to share? I'm always 'required' to take a Texas Sheet Cake for one thing. I have some Vanilla Wafers that are in need of using. Do you think I could make the crust from those Read more [...]

The problem is with the cost. They say it's cheaper, it's not. The cost of the syrup here is about 41 cents. They don't mention the cost of the CO2. Add that cost and it come out to $1.83 Read more [...]

July Challenge Recipes
A new month already! This challenges us to dig into those recipes and cookbooks that have been lying around forever in our 'going to try someday' pile. If we try at least one a month, at least we will get some use out of them and be able to share with others too! Personally, I have a ton that fit into that category. I made this one last night, and it is a keeper!Chicken in Basil Cream(From Read more [...]
