Nalani, that break in sounds very frightening. Too bad about the cleaning service - that would really make me mad!

Good points all of them. I have a can of wasp spray and will take out of the cabinet and put it by my bed. Also keep a baseball bat beside my bed.

We used to travel a lot, and I always left a radio on and double locked everything. Had the mail and paper stopped. At the time we had a noisy dog who could go outside through the doggy door and she would would of raised a ruckus if someone she didn't know broke in. Our son came over every day to feed and water her. We have the reflective film on all the windows so people can't see in during the day but you must remember to pull curtains and blinds at night as the film has the opposite effect at night.

A few days ago the young nephew of the people on one side of me was caught trying to crawl in the bathroom window of the neighbor on the other side of me. In broad daylight. Lucky someone saw him doing it and called the police. Had all sorts of police and cars and didn't know what had happened until the neighbor who's house had the attempted robbery called me on her cell phone from her car and wanted me to go outside and look in her garage to see if anything was disturbed. It wasn't. She doesn't have a car door so the kid knew she wasn't at home. We do and I'm so glad.

I was using a cleaning team and noticed I was missing several small items and found an empty pill bottle of Percocet in my medicine cabinet and I knew I had only taken no more then 5 out of the bottle of 30. I told the owner so and did not have them again. Now I do my housework in bits and pieces.
