The 2.99 Special

Author: We went to breakfast at a restaurant where the ‘seniors’ special’ was two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $2.99.
‘Sounds good,’ my wife said. ‘But I don’t want the eggs.’
‘Then, I’ll have to charge you $3.49 because you’re ordering a la carte,’ the waitress warned her.
‘You mean I’d have to pay for not taking the eggs?’ my wife asked incredulously.
‘YES!’ stated the waitress.
‘I’ll take the special then,’ my wife said..
‘How do you want your eggs?’ the waitress asked.
‘Raw and in the shell,’ my wife replied.
She took the two eggs home and baked a cake.
DON’T MESS WITH SENIORS!!!

Love it!!! Thanks for the morning giggle!!! Wish we could have a Mimi’s reunion. It would be such fun meeting everyone! Thus far, I’ve only met two of you in person. Joe Ames, Sr., who was a walking wealth of knowledge and is missed since his passing. Also met Jo in Virginia several years ago when our sons were stationed down there. She and I have lost track of one another somehow, and I can’t recall what name she posted under to track her down. Life gets too blasted busy!!! Surely do enjoy those of us that keep in touch even outside the cyber-kitchen. This place has tons of such nice, helpful folks. Thanks to JB and Mimi for the site and for the friends it’s enable me to make! And I was thinking about this Pepe because I think it would be so nice to meet you and your DW!

I’ve flown over California but that is one state we’ve not visited. We need to do that! ?Thanks for the invitation JB…maybe someday….hopefully
