DW decided to buy a soda stream.  It works just like they say it does.  We have even mixed flavors to come up with new flavors.  Grapefruit cola for one.  You can adjust the amount of fizz in it too.  The problem is with the cost.  They say it’s cheaper, it’s not.  The cost of the syrup here is about 41 cents.  They don’t mention the cost of the CO2.  Add that cost and it come out to $1.83 for 2 litters.   You do use much less plastic, so it’s greener.  I like it, but it does cost more than the store brand soda here in AZ.

I’ve wondered about those machines.  We looked at the syrup and calculated that it was more expensive too.  Is the flavor good?  How much do you have to make at one time?

I like the flavors that I’ve tried so far.   We only drink diet, both DW and I are diabetics.  She likes the orange, I have tried the cola, grapefruit, and cranberry raspberry.  You can make the soda either by the litter, or the half litter.  The litter size cones with the machine.  You make the carbonated water, then add the flavor.  If you find the flavor to strong, add less syrup nest time.  To weak add more syrup.  To much carbonation, same as with the syrups.  What I’m looking foward to is getting my hands on their diet cream soda.  I haven’t had cream soda in years.  Can’t seem to find it in diet.  It’s one of the flavors the do have.

One more gadget I’ve never heard of.  You folks keep me up-to-date on what’s new out there. Thank you!  I don’t drink sodas at all, but DH drinks A LOT of Diet Coke.  We mostly watch for the sales and then purchase it.  ‘Need’ to do a search to see what this machine looks like. Glad it’s working out for you Pepe!
