I have not tried these, just got the recipe from a friend. I am willing to cut this in half and give it a shot though…How about you? Be cautious if you use weed killer or fertilizer on your lawn. You may have to borrow from a neighbor who doesn’t, but you might be able to get by with that if you offer some donuts in exchange for dandelions!

DANDELION DONUTS

1. Remove the yellow flowers from dandelion flower heads by squeezing them out as you roll the green base between your thumb and forefinger. Discard the bitter tasting green flower base and stem, save the yellow flowers until you have one cup.

2. Heat oil to 375

3. Mix together 2 cups biscuit mix, 2 eggs, and 1 cup of milk. Stir in 1 cup of flowers.

4. Drop by teaspoonful into hot cooking oil.

5. turn when light golden brown.

6 drain on paper towel. roll in sugar & cinnamon or powder sugar.

MAKES 40 donuts! Cut according to your needs.
