hi Nalani – That coconut oil really adds a special flavor to the bars! I recently started using it a little, we got it in the health food store. But I saw it in the regular grocery store last week! It’s in a jar, but it’s a soft, white solid – I think about those good ol’ days every time I open up the jar and smell that wonderful “summertime smell”! My husband is the first one who bought it – he reads ‘healthy’ magazines, and there must be some reason he thought we ought to have it. I’d really recommend waiting until you have the coconut oil, partly because of the wonderful flavor, but especially because of the consistency.

Could one use a different oil such as corn or vegetable? The oly coconut oil I have ever seen is what we used to put on our bodies when we baked ourselves in the sun.
