Spicy Party Pecans

2 1/4 cup pecan halves
3 1/2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1/3 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg


Preheat oven to 350° F.

Combine pecans and corn syrup in bowl; mix well. Stir in mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350º until light brown. Cool. Yield 8 servings.



Sugared Pecans

1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
2 cups pecan halves
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract


Boil sugar and water in saucepan to 230-234º on candy thermometer, or until spun thread stage; do not stir. Add pecans and vanilla, stirring until glazed. Pour onto foil. Cool. Separate pecans.
