Beef Sloppy Joes

Sloppy Joes

2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. ketchup
11/2 tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
1/2 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tbsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
10-15 hamburger buns


In a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat, brown beef and onion. Add green pepper. Cook and stir 5 minutes; drain. Add the next 9 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Serve on buns.

Yield: 10-15 servings.
