Mexican Pizza

Mexican Pizza

Pizza dough: 
1 1/2 cups flour 
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal 
3 tsp. baking powder 
1 tsp. salt 
1/3 cup CriscoŽ 
3/4 cup milk 

Pizza topping: 
1 lb. ground beef 
3 green onions, sliced 
1 clove garlic, chopped 
1/4 tsp. salt 
1 (15 oz.) can refried beans or your own 
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chiles 
1 jar taco sauce 
2 cup grated Cheddar cheese 


Preheat oven to 400° F.

Mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt; cut in Crisco until fine 
crumbs. Stir in milk until dough forms; shape into ball, knead until 
smooth 10-12 times. Roll out, pinch up 1 inch rim in 10x15 inch pan.

Cook beef, onion and garlic until beef is browned; drain off excess fat.  Sprinkle with salt.
 
Spread beans on dough. Layer beef, chiles, taco, sauce and cheese on 
beans. Bake at 400 degrees approximately 20 minutes.
