Apple: Blush Apple Pie

Blush Apple Pie
5 apples
3 slices pineapple
1/4 c. red hots
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. shortening
Slice apples; add red hots and chopped pineapple.
In small bowl mix sugar, flour and salt. Add shortening. Put into apple mixture. Mix well. Let stand while making crust. Pour into bottom crust. Cover with top crust.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
