12 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup baking powder
3 tablespoons salt
2 1/4 cups shortening or 1 3/4 cup vegetable oil
Sift together the first 3 ingredients in a large bowl. Stirring constantly, drop shortening by spoonfuls. Cut shortening in with 2 knives or mix with at very low speed till mixed and is texture of coarse cornmeal. Store tightly covered in large plastic container. Do not refrigerate. This will keep for 1 1/2 to 2 months.
