Kool-Aid Sherbet

Kool-Aid Sherbet
1 cup sugar
1 envelope unsweetened kool-aid (any flavor; not artificially sweetened)
3 cups milk
In a bowl, stir sugar, kool-aid and milk in a bowl until sugar is dissolved. Pour into 8x8 saran wrap-lined pan. Freeze for 1 hour or until slightly thickened.
Take out of freezer and transfer to a mixing bowl and stir until very smooth. Discard saran wrap and line pan with a fresh sheet of saran. Return to freshly-lined pan and freeze until firm.
Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving.
Makes about 3&1/2 cups
