Nut Butter
1 cup salted peanuts, pecans, almonds or cashews
2 Tbls. salad oil or melted butter (optional)
You can make Nut Butter without salad oil, as nuts furnish their own oil, but it takes longer, requires a lot of stopping and stating of the motor and use of the rubber spatula. If the nuts aren't salted, add salt to suit yourself. You may stop blending when the nuts are very fine, not quite a paste, if you like.
