Sesame Seed Cookies

2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter or Crisco
2 egg yolks
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into bowl. Cut in shortening until coarse crumbs. Add remaining ingredients. Knead on a floured board several times until smooth. Make a roll about 1 1/2-inches in diameter.

For each cookie, shape a rounded tablespoon into an oval about 2-inches long. Shape into a crescent and roll in sesame seeds.

Bake at 375 degrees on a greased cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes.
