Cider: Hot and Spicy Holiday Cider

Hot and Spicy Holiday Cider
1 pint water
1 Tbs whole cloves
1/2 stick cinnamon
1 gallon apple cider
2 packages red hot candies
1 large sliced lemon
pinch of salt
In cloth bag, combine cloves and cinnamon. Combine all other ingredients in large pot on top of the stove and add the bag. Bring slowly to boil, stirring continually until all red hots are melted. The cider will turn a deep red color.
(Prepare this approx. 30 minutes before holiday guests are to arrive and your entire house will take on the aroma of the holidays.)
