Chocolate: Hot Cocoa

Hot Cocoa
1/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup of sugar
dash of salt
1/2 cup of water
3-1/2 cups of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Combine the cocoa, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Add the water. Whisk to blend constantly while bringing mixture to a boil. Add the milk and stir until just before boiling stage. Do not boil. Add the vanilla and stir. (You may now whip cocoa with a rotary egg beater if you want it frothy.) Pour into 4 mugs. Garnish with marshmallows, marshmallow cream or whipped cream. Chocolate or colored sprinkles look nice on top.
