Apple Bread Pudding
3 cups dry bread torn into pieces, 6 slices
1 1/2 cups applesauce
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Dash of Nutmeg
2 T. Butter
2 cups Milk
2 beaten Eggs
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
Ground Cinnamon
In a buttered 8x8x2 baking dish layer bread evenly. Combine eggs and milk together. Mix together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt, 1/8 tsp. of cinnamon, nutmeg, and applesauce. Blend with mixer till thoroughly combined. Pour over bread. Dot with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake 50-60 minutes. Serves about 6
