Buttertart Squares
1 cup flour, all-purpose
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup raisins, if desired
1/4 cup coconut, if desired
Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
Mix flour and brown sugar, then cut in butter until crumbly. Press into pan and bake for 15 minutes.
Combine other ingredients, then pour over crust in pan. Bake 20 minutes. Cool, then cut into squares.
