Brown Sugar Chewies
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup sifted flour
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts (pecans)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Stir egg, sugar, and vanilla. Then add flour, salt, soda, then the nuts. Bake 18 to 20 min. at 350* they should be soft when taken out of oven, cut into squares when cool.
