Brittle: Peanut Brittle by Marlen

Peanut Brittle

2 cups sugar
1+ cups peanuts
1/2 tsp. baking soda


Prepare a 9" metal pie pan by lining with aluminum foil. Pour peanuts on the bottom to form a single layer
of nuts. In cast iron skillet, liquidify and cook sugar until lightly brown. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. (It will bubble) Immediately pour over nuts and let cool. Break up and serve.
