Posted by: Becky 11-09-99 2:58 PM

Cheese and Chili Appetizers

3 tbsp butter, softened
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce
3 tbsp chopped green chilies
1 8 oz can crescent rolls
1 oz cheddar cheese, cut into 40 cubes (1/4 inch)

Preheat oven to 375° F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet.

Combine butter, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce and green chilies in a small bowl; mix well.

Separate crescent roll dough into 2 long rectangles. Press perforations to seal.

Spread 2 tbsp of butter/spice mixture onto each rectangle. Tightly roll, starting with long side of rectangle.

Slice each roll into 20 pieces and place them on cookie sheet (pieces will be about 1/2 inch thick).

Place a cheese cube in center of each piece.

Bake at 375 for 9 to 12 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Remove from cookie sheet immediately and serve warm.

Makes 40 appetizers.
