Beef: Italian Party Meatballs

Italian Party Meatballs
Source:Stella (recipe pamphlet)

1 pound ground beef
1 cup shredded Stella provolone cheese (4 oz)
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 tsp. dried Italian seasonings, crushed
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/4 cups regular spaghetti or marinara sauce, divided


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In medium bowl, combine ground beef, cheese, bread crumbs, Italian seasonings, egg, garlic powder and 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce until thoroughly mixed. Shape mixture into 1 inch meatballs.

Bake in shallow pan 12 minutes or until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink inside. Meanwhile, in 1 quart suacepan over medium heat, heat remaining 1 cup spaghetti sauce until hot.

Serve meatballs with spaghetti sauce for dipping.
