They are all broken down into categories for easy viewing, and further organized into subcategories. Looking for a particular recipe or ways to use a special ingredient? There is also a better, faster search engine. Try it at : The board is divided into separate forums, as you will see when you enter below. We are always open for suggestions about adding others. Please note that you will have to register first in order to post requests or replies. One question people have had about registration is the fact that you are supposed to put in your email address. Several users have raised concerns about privacy and don't want to have their real email address appear on the screen. On the registration form you do NOT have to put in a valid email address but you do have to put in something. If you do not wish to use your real email address you can use a handle such as "from Alaska". On the other hand, you can get yourself a FREE alternate email address that you could use publicly which you can get from MimiMail. You don't even need to look at that account, but be aware that people may reply privately to that address. There are several features on this board which are not available on many others. One is called "zoom in". When you look at a message that has a number of replies and you want to print it or save it, click on "zoom in" and just that individual message will appear on your screen. There is also a search
feature as well. If you need to find a message that was posted
in the last few weeks, it will look through all the messages currently
being housed. The current message base on the Recipe Exchange Forum
goes back approximately 60 days; other forums have never been purged.
Can't find a particular recipe? Recipes posted are currently being
archived quickly, usually within a week or two, so they are probably easier
to find there.
It's great to see so many people participating on this Recipe Exchange
Board, both seeking and contributing recipes. As of today, there are more
than 8,000 registered, and tons more who are still in a read-only mode...we
hope you'll bite the bullet and jump in. One look around and you'll
see that this is positively the nicest group of folks you'll ever meet,
offline or on.

For the most part, I'm very pleased with the way everyone is using this board to share recipes and other food-related information. On the other hand, the occasional lapses into (non-food) poor taste, spamming and flame wars have no place here. Please think before you type. I would much prefer that you write to me if there are any problems with various personalities than take the matter into your own hands.
