KC: Cheddar-Broccoli Casserole

1 1/2 lbs. broccoli, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup (3 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup firm butter
1 cup biscuit mix
Cook broccoli in salted water until stems are almost tender, 10-12
minutes; drain. Place broccoli in an ungreased 1 1/2- quart round
casserole.
Beat soup and milk togeher until smooth; stir in nuts. Pour ove
broccoli and sprinkle with cheese. Cut butter into biscuit mix until
mixture resembles coarse crumbs; spread over cheese. Bake uncovered in a
preheated 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or until top is lightly
browned.
Serves 6.
