Figs in a Blanket - pareve

makes 8 servings

INGREDIENTS:

 24 large, fresh figs
 24 grape leaves
 24 blanched almonds
 1 1/4 cups honey
 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
 48 coriander seeds
 2 cups water

Preparation:

 a. Cut the figs lengthwise, about three-fourths of the way;
 b. Heat and stir the honey until it is thin, then mix in the cinnamon;
 c. Boil the grape leaves in the water for about one minute, then spread them
    out and wipe dry;
 d. Insert one almond and two coriander seeds into each fig;
 e. Roll the figs in the honey;
 f. Put each fig in the center of a leaf, then gather and tie the top with a
    string;
 g. Bake in a 350 degree F oven until the leaves are completely dry (about 30
    min.);
 h. Let the figs cool for about fifteen minutes, then remove the strings;
