EASY CANDIED YAMS

Yield: Serves 6

Ingredients:

 1 24-ounce can Bruce's Yams 
   (or any brand of yams you like)
 1/4 cup white or brown sugar
 1/4 cup yam syrup, from can
 1/4 cup butter or margarine

1. Place yams in shallow baking dish.

2. Combine syrup from can, sugar and butter (margarine) in 
saucepan, stirring to boil to thicken.

3. Pour sauce over yams.

4. Bake in 350-degree (F) oven for 20 to 30 minutes, basting
frequently.


Variations:

Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon or nutmeg, or add orange 
slices and 3 Tb orange juice, or add some crushed pineapple.
