Kreplach #4 - meat

DOUGH
2 cups flour
1 egg
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons oil
pinch salt
FILLING
300 grams beef
2 onions
1 clove garlic
1 onion,chopped
1 or 2 egg -- hard boiled
salt, pepper, nutmeg
1 tablespoon oil
1. Place flour in a bowl.
2. Make a well in the center and pour in warm water, salt, oil and egg.
3. Start beating with a fork and then with your hands to form a firm but
not too hard dough.
4. Turn dough onto a working surface and knead 10 minutes, adding very
little flour if needed.Knead until smooth. Place in a bowl, baste with oil
and let rest 1 hour, covered.
5. Roll out dough thin and cut out 2" circles.( you can make them bigger,
if you want to)
6. Place 1/2 to 1 teaspoon filling in the center of dough, baste edges with
egg white, press edges together and then press the 2 ends together, to
shape the kreplach.
Cook kreplach in plenty of salted boiling water, until they rise to the
surface.
Filling:
1. Grind beef and onions in food processor or meat grinder
2.Add crushed garlic. Season.
3.Cook in oil in a frying pan with the onion until all red has disappeared.
4. Grind 1 more time, adding 1 or 2 hard boiled eggs..
5. Optional: chopped parsley

Serving Ideas : Serve them with chicken soup
