KC: Thai Red Dipping Sauce - pareve

1/2 c rice or white vinegar
1/2 c sugar
2-3 squirts soy sauce or fish sauce
1 tblsp chili garlic sauce

Heat vinegar and sugar in saucepan for 3-4 mins, till sugar dissolves. Add
soy or fish sauce and cook about 10 mins at medium heat, stirring
occasionally, till somewhat thick. Add hot sauce and let cool.
