Kugel, Noodle #2, Mom's: Lokshen Kugel - dairy

This is a recipe my Mother made when we were children.

1/2 lb. noodles (medium sized)
1/4 lb. margarine
small package Philidelphia cream cheese
4 eggs,  separated
1 cup milk
3 Tbsp. sugar
3 - 4  Tbsp. Cottage cheese - (1 % M.F.)
3 - 4  Tbsp. sour cream
pinch salt
crushed corn flakes for topping
Raisins (optional)

Cook noodles in salt water until al-dente, do not blanch.
Beat egg yolks add margarine, cheese, sugar, and sour cream.  Break up
margarine if solid.
Add drained hot noodles (which will melt margarine. Add 
milk and beaten whites.
Sprinkle top with cornflakes - Bake in greased pan 350 F -
45 minutes.
