Kugel: Matzah and Cheese #2 - dairy

Serves: 6-10

MATZAH AND CHEESE KUGEL

5 eggs
1 cup milk
1 pound cottage cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup honey
2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 matzahs, broken into pieces
3/4 cup toasted slivered almonds

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease shallow 2-quart 
baking dish or large pie plate. Beat together eggs and 
milk. Add cottage cheese, salt, honey and cinnamon.

2. Place half the matzah in baking dish. Pour half the egg-
cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle with the almonds, cover 
with remaining matzah pieces and remaining egg-cheese 
mixture. Bake about 40 minutes, until top is brown and 
slightly crunchy.
