Pie: Chocolate Cheese - dairy

Posted by : Lita Lotzkar

1 c Sugar
3 pk Cream cheese, 8 ounces each
5 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
1 tb Lemon juice
4 oz Baking chocolate, melted-and cooled

Add sugar to cheese in a bowl; blend well. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add
vanilla. To 2 cups of cheese mixture, fold in chocolate. To remaining
cheese mixture add lemon juice; pour into greased 10 inch pie pan*. Top
with chocolate mixture. Bake at 350f degrees for 40-45 minutes. Cool then
chill.

*I usually do not use a pie crust; if you wish, crumble up some macaroons
or other passover cookies or mandle bread, mix with a little melted butter
or margarine and press into greased pie pan like you would with a graham
cracker crust. Usually no extra sugar is needed with the cookies.
