This dessert appealed to me because of it's simple, few ingredients, and it's even simpler preparation. It appeared in a ring-bound edition of private recipes distributed by the City of Hope Medical Community, Kings Point Chapter in Tamarac, Fla. It was submitted by Mildred Teplitsky. Hope ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NEVER FAIL PASSOVER WINE NUT CAKE 7 egg yolks 1/4 c. sweet wine 7 egg whites 1 c. nuts, chopped 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. cake meal Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Gradually beat in sugar. Add wine. Combine nuts and cake meal and add to egg mixture. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into ungreased angel food pan and bake in 325 oven for 1 hour. Invert pan and do not remove cake until cold.
