Apricot Chews - pareve

12 dried apricots
1/2 cup apple or  orange juice
6 dried figs or pitted prunes
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
2 Tbsp molasses or honey
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup oat bran
shredded coconut (unsweetened)

Soak apricots and figs or prunes in the fruit juice for a few hours or over
night.  Drain.  Retain the juice for another purpose, or drink it, itıs
delicious.

Combine the soaked fruit, raisins, almonds, seeds, molasses or honey, wheat
germ and oat bran in blender or food processor.  Process until  ingredients
are finely chopped.

On wax paper, form the batter into a sausage like roll.  Cover with coconut.
Refrigerate for a few hours, then slice or form into balls.

Yield: 2 dozen 1./2 inch slices or walnut sized balls

Approximately 76 calories in each
