Noodle Kugel #5, Mom's: Lokshen Kugel - dairy

3 eggs separated
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups noodles
3 Tbsp butter (margarine)
1 tsp vanilla
1 Lb. cottage cheese
1 Tbsp flour

Noodles:  Crush noodles to make 1 1/2 cups.  Cook al dente and drain.
Beat egg whites and set aside.  Melt butter in a 9" square pan.  Add 
1/2 butter to the noodles and mix thoroughly.  Beat egg yolks and add the
cottage cheese, sugar and sour cream and remaining butter.  Fold   the egg
whites into cheese mixture.  Add 3/4 of cheese mixture to noodles; pour into
buttered pan.  Then add rest of cheese mixture to cover.  Bake at 350* for
45 minutes.
