#704426 HOMEMADE  SAUERKRAUT

 Ingredients :
 Cabbage
 Sugar
 Salt
 Water

Chop cabbage up and place in quart jars.  Place 1 teaspoon
sugar and 1 teaspoon salt on top of each quart.  Fill each jar over
with boiling water.  Seal set for 10 days.  If using pint jars, cut
sugar and salt to 1/2 teaspoon.

 #1090792 HOMEMADE  SAUERKRAUT

Sterilize wide-mouth jars.  Chop cabbage and pack jar firmly
to  within 1/2 inch of the top of the jar.  Add 1/2 teaspoon
non-iodized  salt to each quart.  Fill jar with hot tap water.
Seal.  Set back  for 6 weeks.  No smell, no mess, no cooking.

 #1027677 SAUERKRAUT  (Homemade)

 Ingredients :
 25 lb. raw cabbage
 1 c. salt

Cut cabbage.  Stamp with salt in layers until it gets juicy.
Fills a 5 pound crock.  Cover with leaves.  An old plate and rags
tied over crock.  Let set 6 weeks.  Clean off top and cook 2 hours
after it starts to boil.  Jar!
