KC: Easy Parve Brownies - pareve
Posted by : Andrea Herrera
I always am on the look out for parve desset recipes. It's much harder coming up with dessert when serving a meat meal.
I found one that was so easy and I liked a lot. Here it is:
Easy Parve Chocolate Fudge Brownies
1 box Duncan Hienz Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix (it has to be this brand if you want something pareve,
because all the other brands are dairy, this one is not, it's pareve)
3 eggs
1 stick of margarine - melted (that's 1/2 Cup)
10 oz parve chocolate chips (The Trader Joe's choc chips are pareve, cheap and wonderful)
Melt margarine, add cake mix, and eggs. Mix well. Stir in chocolate
chips. Spread in a greased (or release sprayed) 13 x 9 inch pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 30-35 minutes, until toothpick inserted
comes out clean. Cool slightly, slice and cool the rest of the way.
Enjoy,
