Brisket, Grandma Shirlee's - meat

Posted by : Qwerty pif

Hi --

Here is Grandma Shirlee's recipe for basic, wonderful brisket that we have for
holidays.

Brown brisket without fat
Cut up a lot of onions, put on bottom of pan
About an inch of water
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, ginger

Cover, cook for 2 hours on top of stove, turning after 1 hour
Cook for 2 more hours in 350 oven uncovered, but watch the liquid and add
water if needed; turn after an hour.

After writing this, it occurs to me that someone else may have posted the same
or a similar recipe. Well, it was a labor of love, so no matter!
